Vadstena rådhustorget, Vadstena fick stadsrättigheter år 1400 av drottning Margareta, rådhuset är från början av 1400-talet och är därmed Sveriges äldsta rådhus: Det saknade från början tornet,det tillkom i slutet av samma århundrade och hade torvtak och trappstensgavlar. Längst ner i tornet låg stadens häkte. Högst upp rådhusklockan. Under 1500-talet byggdes den lilla stugan till höger om tornet. Efter danskarnas nedbränning av staden 1567 renoverades rådhuset och 1691 ersattes trappstensgavlarna med nuvarande tornhuv dit klockan flyttades upp. Ånyo reparering i 1700-talets början. Rådhuset härbärgerade borgmästare och råd trots sin litenhet ända fram till 1948 och som stadsfullmäktigesal ännu längre.

Vadstena town hall square, Vadstena got its priviligies year 1400 from Queen Margareta, the town hall is from the beginning of 15th century and is therefor Sweden's oldest town hall. From the beginning there was only the two-storied house to left, the tower was added in the end of same century and had turf roof. In the bottom was the town's prison and in the top hung the bell. After the Danish raid 1567 the town hall was renovated and 1691 it got today's spire to which the bell was moved to. Though its small size the town hall housed the mayor and town's council right up to 1948 and the town council even longer.
